Περιγραφή
Ο σκοπός του εργαστηρίου είναι να αναδειχθεί έμπρακτα ο ρόλος του/της Research Librarian (ερευνητικό βιβλιοθηκονόμο) αξιοποιώντας παράλληλα τις πρακτικές Ανοικτής Επιστήμης μέσα από το πλαίσιο της ενσωματωμένης βιβλιοθηκονομίας (embedded librarianship). Για πρακτικούς και εύληπτους λόγους το εργαστήριο χρησιμοποιεί ως παράδειγμα την περίπτωση των συστηματικών ανασκοπήσεων (systematic reviews) ως το πιο γνωστό είδος των evidence synthesis μεθόδων. Δείχνει βήμα-βήμα το πώς ο/η βιβλιοθηκονόμος ως εξειδικευμένος συνεργάτης ερευνητών ενταγμένος/η στην ερευνητική ομάδα μπορεί να υποστηρίξει με πρακτικές Ανοικτής Επιστήμης σχεδόν σε κάθε βήμα του ερευνητικού κύκλου (End-to-end).
Οι εκπαιδευτικοί στόχοι είναι:
- Κατανόηση του συμβουλευτικού (consulting) και συνεργατικού
(cooperative) ρόλου του/της Βιβλιοθηκονόμου ως Research Librarian σε
σχέση με τον παραδοσιακά πληροφοριακό (reference) και εκπαιδευτικό
(training) ρόλο - Εξοικείωση με ποικίλες πρακτικές Ανοικτής Επιστήμης σε όλα τα στάδια
του ερευνητικού κύκλου - Εξοικείωση με την ερευνητική μέθοδο των Συστηματικών Ανασκοπήσεων
- Εξοικείωση με το πρότυπο αναφοράς PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items
for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses) - Εξοικείωση με την Rayyan AI-powered πλατφόρμα για τη διενέργεια
συστηματικών ανασκοπήσεων (systematic reviews) και όχι μόνο
Τα προσδοκώμενα οφέλη για την κοινότητα των επαγγελματιών και επαγγελματιών πληροφόρησης αφορούν την εξοικείωση με τη διεύρυνση του ρόλου του/της Βιβλιοθηκονόμου στην ερευνητική ακαδημαϊκή κοινότητα μέσω της Ενσωματωμένης Βιβλιοθηκονομίας (Embedded Librarianship).
Περίληψη (Αγγλικά)
The purpose of this workshop is to practically demonstrate the role of the Research Librarian while leveraging Open Science practices within the framework of embedded librarianship. For practical and accessible reasons, the workshop uses the case of systematic reviews as an example, representing the most well-known type of evidence synthesis methods. It provides a step-by-step demonstration of how the librarian, as a specialized research collaborator integrated into the research team, can support Open Science practices at almost every stage of the research cycle (End-to-end).
The educational objectives are:
- Understanding the consulting and cooperative role of the Research Librarian in contrast to the traditional reference and training roles.
- Familiarization with various Open Science practices throughout all stages of the research cycle.
- Gaining familiarity with the research method of Systematic Reviews.
- Familiarization with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses) reporting standard.
- Gaining familiarity with the Rayyan AI-powered platform for conducting systematic reviews and beyond.
The expected benefits for the information professional community involve becoming familiar with the expansion of the Librarian's role within the academic research community through Embedded Librarianship.
